Day 1: Road Town, Tortola to Norman Island

After a comprehensive chart briefing and provisioning check at the base in Road Town, cast off and begin your Caribbean vacation. Your first crossing takes you straight across the scenic Sir Francis Drake Channel toward Norman Island, a gorgeous, uninhabited island famously known as the inspiration for the classic novel Treasure Island. The Bight provides one of the most secure and popular anchorages in the BVI, making it the perfect stress-free first stop.
Before settling in for the evening, take your dinghy out to the western edge of the bay to snorkel The Caves. The dark, water-filled grottos are teeming with colorful tropical fish and vibrant coral formations. As evening approaches, you have two fantastic options for dinner and drinks: head ashore to the upscale Pirates Bight restaurant, or take the dinghy over to the legendary Willy T, a floating pirate ship bar where the party starts early and jumping off the top deck is practically a rite of passage.

Day 2: Norman Island to Cooper Island

Enjoy a slow morning in The Bight before raising the sails for a short, upwind tack over to Manchioneel Bay on Cooper Island. Because this bay is incredibly popular, it is wise to arrive by late morning to secure a mooring ball. Spend the afternoon taking advantage of the incredibly clear water. Just a short dinghy ride away is Cistern Point, a rocky outcropping famous for regular sightings of sea turtles and graceful spotted eagle rays. Facing dead west, Manchioneel Bay is widely considered one of the best spots in the territory to watch the sunset.

Day 3: Cooper Island to Virgin Gorda (Spanish Town)

Today brings you to the crown jewel of the British Virgin Islands. Sail northeast toward the southern tip of Virgin Gorda to visit The Baths National Park. Grab a daytime mooring ball and swim or dinghy ashore to start your hike. The Baths are a breathtaking geological phenomenon where massive granite boulders form a labyrinth of sunlit tidal pools, hidden arches, and sandy grottos right on the water's edge.
Follow the trail through the cool, shallow waters of the caves until you emerge onto Devil's Bay, an idyllic, pristine beach perfect for a well-deserved swim.
