Day 1: Road Town, Tortola to Norman Island

After completing your vessel checkout and stowing your dive and snorkel gear at the charter base in Road Town, you will cast off and set a course across the Sir Francis Drake Channel. Your first stop is an unforgettable one: The Indians. Located just off Pelican Island, this striking rock formation breaks the surface like the headdress of a Native American chief. Grab a National Park mooring and jump in; the underwater topography here is spectacular, featuring sheer vertical drops covered in sea fans and colorful gorgonians.
Once you have thoroughly explored the vibrant wall dive at The Indians, make the very short motor into the protected waters of The Bight at Norman Island. Before sunset, take the dinghy out to Treasure Point to snorkel The Caves. These dark, shallow grottos are filled with sweeping schools of glass-eye snappers and striking orange cup corals. End your first day with a celebratory dinner on the yacht or head ashore to the beachside restaurant.
